Anne Osuchukwu

Manager/Office Administrator

Anne Osuchukwu is the Manager/ Office Administrator in DAWSUN. She has overall responsibility for the management of DAWSUN’s administrative work. Anne works closely with the community representatives in planning, organising and executing events and carrying out the post-event evaluation to inform future events in DAWSUN. She has over five years’ post-graduation experience in community pharmacy and drug administration and dispensing. She is a graduate of Pharmacy from the University of Nigeria. Her core competencies include pharmaceutical aseptic, sale and supply of medicines, drug discovery and Pharmacy leadership and management. Anne is passionate about health inequalities, female genital mutilations, sexual violence, and health-related issues that affect ethnic minority families in Scotland.

Dr Thelma Okey-Adibe

PhD

Community Engagement Officer/Financial Inclusion Officer

Dr Thelma Okey-Adibe PhD is the Community Engagement and Financial Inclusion officer in DAWSUN. She develops reports and consultation responses to highlight the ethnic minorities experiences in using and accessing financial services. She leads DAWSUN’s work with the community and works closely with our community representatives to design innovative solutions to the challenges faced by the community we serve. Thelma serves in DAWSUN’s research and policy sub-committee. She has over 15 years of banking experience and a wealth of expertise in several areas, including Corporate banking, Retail banking, Commercial banking. Thelma is a Certified Financial Education Instructor and has a PhD in Banking and Finance, focusing on Microfinancing and Financial Inclusion. She currently works for Jezreel Consulting and works as casual staff at Glasgow Caledonian University.ll responsibility for the management of DAWSUN’s administrative work. Dr Jamila Audu

PhD

Provost/Safeguarding Officer

Dr Jamila Audu is the Provost and Safeguarding Officer at the Diaspora African Women Support Network. In these roles, Jamila oversees the development, implementation, and assessment of DAWSUN’s programs and policies. As the lead safeguarding officer, Jamila is the designated person in DAWSUN with primary responsibility for managing and reporting concerns about children and other vulnerable people and putting in place procedures to safeguard them in the organisation. She works closely with all officers, volunteers and beneficiaries to ensure that DAWSUN’s safeguarding policies are complied with. Jamila has over five years of teaching and nine years of banking experience. She has a vast knowledge of Credit Risk Management and is grounded in research methodology (quantitative and qualitative). Her areas of expertise include Bank Management, Corporate Finance, Islamic Finance, Personal Finance and Mortgage lending. Jamila serves in DAWSUN’s research and policy sub-committee.

Uche Emeordi

HND, (Business Management), HNC (Social Care)

Business Management

Uche Emeordi is a Diaspora African Women Support network committee member. She is passionate about issues that affect women and children. She brings her experiences in managing Third Sector Organisations to the work of DAWSUN. Uche has over 21 years of work experience in business management and social care in the adult sector, with track records of excellence. She recently completed an HND program in business management at Glasgow Clyde College and is currently a final year student of Business and Human Resource Management at the University of West of Scotland. She works for Friend for All Project, a charitable organisation in Glasgow.
